A Passionate Performer
Music has the power to transport us to another time and place. James Jared Taylor Music loves to harness that power with a broad audience of fellow music lovers and passionate musicians alike. With a focus on jazz, James Jared Taylor heads his group- The Alloy Ensemble. He has played with the following: The Robert Holts Orchestra, The Red Apple Orchestra, The Valley Winds Swing Band, The United Swing Band, The Ted Herman Big Band, The Tim Miller Quartet, and he was the guitarist for the Second Hand Jazz Band’s monthly performances for the Speakeasy at the Merc in Temecula, California. He has also played in pit orchestras for the musicals "Seussical" and "Bonnie and Clyde" under the baton of Scott Merrin.
James Jared Taylor studied jazz guitar with Doug MacDonald and the late Joe Diorio. He started his guitar playing by studying classical guitar at the Musical Arts Center in Cincinnati, Ohio in the late seventies. He attended the Stanford Jazz Workshop under the instruction of guitarist Peter Bernstein, saxophonist Eric Alexander, drummer Jimmy Cobb, and saxophonist Dr. Michael Zilber. He also was a part of the Menifee Jazz Ensemble at Mt. San Jacinto College under the direction of Dr. Jeremy Brown and trumpeter Mike Rocha.
